Comparison: Macbeth VS. Animal Farm

Throughout the two movies, Roman Polanski film, Macbeth and Animal Farm in 1945, these are different stories, but the two movies represent the same theme as well. When I read first Animal Farm, I was drawn into it right away and decided to watch the movie. The movie version was a bit different the same idea was delivered. I felt an immediate connection when I studied these tales. First, the two writers show the fear of possessiveness and it is similar from the two characters. Secondly, the two writers of different period describe the dictatorship. Finally, the two movies represent the power of the cycle. The two writers have same ideas for the authority yet write two different plot.
These two movies, Macbeth and Animal Farm well describe a possessiveness of each protagonist; Macbeth and Napoleon. Macbeth makes much of Lady Macbeth, and he killed King Duncan with Lady Macbeth’s help to be the king of Scotland. On the other hand, Napoleon raises the abject seven dogs as his children to train his force, and he expels Snow ball to be the reader of Animal farm with his seven dogs. Also, he uses his seven dogs to kill a traitor.
Subsequently, when Macbeth comes to the throne, he uses the citizen or soldier with his authority to kill the people who have relation with King Duncan. On the other hand, in the Animal Farm, Napoleon re-built his rule on the same wall that Snowball had previously built. “All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others” Throughout these parts, the both writers describes the dictatorship on that period.
Moreover, the cycle of power being passed from humans to pigs, which represents someone who is always willing to be in control of others. For example, the pigs are greedy for power and want to be in control of the other animals. In addition, to represents the cycle of the power, Fleance stops at the witch’s place that Macbeth had previously stop because of the song of the witch at the end of the movie Macbeth.

Macbeth

The play, Macbeth represents the evilness and vast guilt that is created by it. The background music enhances the impact and the all-around mood of evil deeds. For example, when Macbeth kills Duncan the music strongly conveys feelings of tension, fear and danger. After Macbeth becomes the king of Scotland, he often sees the vision of dead person who was killed by Macbeth. Throughout this scene, I can feel Macbeth’s heart beating emotion is realistic. In addition, as Macbeth’s wife becomes insane due to the guilt of her attribute to the incident. This scene shows how guilty is fearful. However, in Shakespeare’s play there is no actual murder scene because Shakespeare thought that there was no point to adding those scenes. In my opinion, He perhaps thought that the play had enough cruelty in it, and he was working more on the imaginations, not the eyes and ears, of his audience. The movie is a clever adaptation of Shakespeare’s story. It would be a failure if it did not effectively transfer the play’s strong sense of evil to the screen, especially the sequence of corruption that leads men to evil acts because of greed. The mood and the setting are the most important because the movie must achieve the dark mood and setting in order to convey the sense of evil to the audience; this movie has accomplished that.

Banned book Animal Farm

The novel, Animal Farm by George Orwell is a satirical novel with orientation of the Soviet Union. In the beginning, I see the true nature of human being throughout Old Major, and I feel guilt as human being for the animals. Also, when the writer characterizes the power and society from the two pigs, I feel that there are two ways of power that organizes society. At end of the story, I agree with the writer's description of pigs drinking with the mug on the table like humans. George Orwell reappears from 1972 to 1943, and he ardently criticizes Stalinism. From the reason, this novel was prohibited until 1945. I believe that there is no reason to ban certain books. The society should accept the opinion of nations, and the nations can have an authority to tell their opinion also. These judgments may be delivered by a book. Furthermore, every individual has a right to know the secret history or truth of their society.
